football has been played in the High Peak for almost 120
years, and New Mills Football Club has played a prominent
part in the development of the game during that period.
The ground is situated in Church Lane, opposite St. George's Church and is regarded as being one of the most picturesque in the North West Counties League, in which "The Millers", have two teams competing.

facilities at Church Lane are quite considerable. The
area covers some three and a half acres and has parking
for 150 cars plus 8 coaches. The pitch is fully enclosed
and has a covered stand for 120 seated spectators plus
300 standing. A clubhouse with a membership of over 200
is open 7 days a week and the room is also available for
hire with a capacity of around 90. |

has floodlights with a floodlit all-weather pitch suitable
for soccer, hockey, tennis and many other sports. Once again
this facility is available to the public for hire.
New Mills Football Club also caters for the disabled with
